Living The Affiliate Dream

August 11th, 2011 by admin No comments »

Affiliate marketing sparks an interest with an expansive entrepreneurial group of individuals, who have chosen to live the dream-opposed to living the daily grind.

With affiliate marketing lies the unprecedented opportunity of unlimited income streams, while in turn lending the personal satisfaction of securing a lifestyle that shifts the focus from a have to-to want-to career.

One of the main advantages of affiliate marketing is the fact that you don’t have to quit your day job, while your building up an affiliate business. Once your business gets to the level that it needs to be where you can quit your day job, therein lies the uncompromised joy of firing your boss. That in itself is a day to celebrate!

Dedicated affiliate success and living the dream go hand in hand with effort = sacrifice. If you are willing to give up-to get, than you are on the right affiliate highway. I personally have spent many holidays, evening, weekends and countless days off just to build up what I am strongly dedicated to. As a matter of fact I started my affiliate business on New Years Eve 2009. While all of my friends were ringing in the new year, I was priming the pump. Yes affiliate marketing is a drive with no detours, it is a highway of driven focus that you never want to get off of. If you are dedicated than you will make it happen and you will not let anything stand in your way of success, I firmly believe this! Never give up what you believe in, because “your belief system is what gets you out of bed in the morning and allows you to sleep well at night.”

The Short Commute

There are inestimable reasons to covet working at home over commuting on a daily basis. For starters, most people who take this propitious highway are either tired of the commute or tired of the atmosphere of where they work. Then, there are those who are self-motivated loners who revel in the challenge of working quietly in a personal space called-home.

Ironically you can own a multi-million dollar industry, based solely out of your corner home-office space in this day and age. With the prospects of mass marketing, electronic payments and social connections, it is more advantageous to work out of the home then ever before. Most transactions can be done via: computer/fax/virtual merchant/ and cell phone. There are even mobile electronic forms of payment available to the motorist minded entrepreneur, to make closing the deal a quicker form of payment-opposed to direct billing.

Conversely, this isn’t necessarily the right fit for everyone. It requires a certain level of consistent dedication and an extremely strong level of accountability. If you are not that type of person, then you should forgo any thoughts of quitting your day job. Many people love the concept of the freedom that a home-based business offers. However they are quickly drawn in by the conveniences of home and the familiarity of their evening routine of watching TV and lounging about the house.

Years ago I was taken in by this same scenario. I had an antiques and crafting business and all the while I was working and concentrating faithfully on my business; I was frequently distracted by friends, business acquaintances and etc., who thought that since I worked at home, I was readily available for coffee, errands, and constant phone companionship. I found myself frustrated and irritated to the point of buying into the urges of freeing myself up at the drop of a hat. Those instant urges were abruptly squashed when I found myself staying up all night to accomplish what I should have been doing throughout the day. It was a live and learn experience and fortunately I had the fortitude to firmly say no to drop by coffee requests and I quickly learned how to screen incoming phones calls due to a little technology called caller ID.

Monetizing Your Dream Into A Reality

August 11th, 2011 by admin No comments »

The conversion rate of traffic into sales is at a higher ratio than ever before. These days you must be extremely judicious and cognizant in your online advertising. Advertisers are in need guaranteed of results, and are watching your ads closer than you may think. As a matter of fact many advertisers will refuse your application to place ads on your site if they are not analogous to what you are marketing.

Your company website needs ads that will put real revenue into your bank account as well as softly pad your advertisers. This is a two-sided coin that converts on either side.

In the simplest of terms website advertising works like this: Consider for a moment that the internet as a whole is merely a vast media source. That being the case, it is advantageous for you to advertise directly; using all available resources as a form of connecting the dots from brand seller- to- affiliate- to- consumer. Therefore you must get guaranteed results out of your advertising and the only way to ensure that you do, is testing new and distinctive ads that bring quick results.

This is where ad campaigns as well as product and service marketing fall into play. The internet is an outlet of gargantuan resources and it makes earning an online living far better than punching the proverbial time clock. However, in order to achieve that goal you have to use (tried and true and always new) forms of advertising.

Banner ads are eye-catching and appealing, but they should never be used as a sole means of marketing. The best effective marketing technique is clearly defined, as whatever works. I use banner ads on my websites because they are interactive and it keeps the consumer on my website longer. In general the consumer is more attracted to a virtual ad than a contextual one. However I also use other proven methods of advertising, such as Google AdSense, Kontera, Amazon, Article Marketing, Social Networking, Linking, Back Linking and Co-Partnering.
